November Challenge Grant!

We reached our goal of $10,000 in October!

Our anonymous donor has again offered to match all new private donations during the month of November!

The donor will match the first $500 of each new cash gift deposited during November. The donor will match donations up to a total of $10,000 in one month (that's only 20 $500 gifts).

This multiplies a gift by 4 - a $500 gift + $500 match = $1000, which is matched by the State grant to bring in $2000 for the Engineering Academy.

Now's the time to make it count!

• Was founded in 2002 at Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta.
• Enrolls 32 freshmen per year, from the entire Santa Barbara community, for a total of 128 students.
• Is a four-year integrated course of study in physics, computer science and engineering design.
• Culminates in the design and construction of a robot during the senior year, which competes on the national stage.

The combination of academics, technical innovation and teamwork gives students the competitive edge and true mastery of the skills necessary to enter the workforce and pursue post-secondary education.

The New Facility

The Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy has been awarded a $3 million matching grant from the State of California for the construction of a new 10,000 square foot facility on the Dos Pueblos campus. It will include laboratories furnished with industry-grade machinery, electronics instrumentation, and space for robot construction. Most importantly, this space will accommodate an expansion to 400 students for the Engineering Academy, substantially broadening its impact.
